Smith, James Edward, 91, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Crowne Health Care of Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Newton officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Tindal Smith, parents, R. E. and Edith Smith. He is survived by daughters; Ann S. (Wayne) Thompson of Bay Minette, AL, Jean S. (Roger) Helms of Ozark, AL, Betty S. (Gary) Perry of Montgomery, AL, Martha S. (James) Vaughn of Remlap, AL, grandchildren; Elizabeth (Colter) Day of Bay Minette, AL, Susan (Darren) Reed of Montgomery, AL, Shannon (Tim) Schmidt of Coosada, AL, Allison (Chuck) Houston of Dothan, AL, Natalie (Jason) Dill of Pelham, AL, Phillip (Dawn) Perry of Montgomery, AL, Brian (Kimberly) Perry of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Ashley L. Duet of Brantley, AL, Martha Lee (Stacy) Hawkins of Remlap, AL, sixteen great-grandchildren, sister, Frances S. Johnson of Greenville, AL and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Greenville and a retired lineman from Alabama Power.
