James Robert Reaves of Camden died peacefully at his home on September 21, 2020 at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife Mary Joyce Hopkins Reaves and daughters Denise Reaves Morgan (Charles) of Camden, Debra Diamond (John) of Jay, FL and Melissa Reaves (Brent) of Camden; a beloved cousin Rick Tait (Jenifer) of Camden, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Beth Reaves, brother John Melton Reaves and an infant brother Steven Reaves.
Mr. Reaves was a forester and cattle farmer and an avid University of Alabama football fan. He especially enjoyed time spent with his large family.
Graveside services were held at Reaves Chapel Cemetery on September 23, 2020 with Brother Reid Nettles officiating and Dunklin-Daniels Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Josh Morgan, J.D. Diamond, Adam Morgan, Micky Tait, Jesse Tait, Casey McGraw, Jonathan Bradley and Brian White.
