Mr. James Lane Harrison, Jr., 82, a resident of Greenville, AL died on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Magnolia Cemetery with Ministers Jimmie Benson and Michael Coleman officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his parents: James and Sue Harrison and wife, Ruth Harrison. He is survived by his wife: Melba L. Harrison, children: Greg Burnette (Beth) of Greenville, AL, Jackie Helms (Durwood) of Cusseta, AL, Susan Coleman (Michael) of Greenville, AL, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister: Virginia Grosclose of Bristol, VA, many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Mr. Harrison was born and raised in Greenville, AL. He served his country in the Army and began a career in Atlanta. He then moved back to Greenville to take care of his father. He was an avid coin collector, animal lover, and kind man to everyone he met. He will be missed by all.
