James Gordon Felts, age 95, passed away at his home in the  Shawnee community on November 9, 2023.

He is survived by his wife Christine S. Felts and son Jimmy Felts (Judy) of Camden. He also leaves grandsons Lucas Felts (Paige) of Foley, AL and Chase Felts (Madeleine) of Minter, AL; great granddaughter Foster Felts and great grandson Fletcher as well as his brother Bobby Ray Felts and sister Judith Watts both of Camden.

James Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Lillian Gertrude Felts and siblings Gertrude Gaines, Gesna Griffith, Janie Faye Martin, Norma Lee Ray, Sue Sikes Gaines, Edward Lewis Felts and David Allen Felts.

Mr. Felts served as a Superintendent for the Wilcox County Highway Dept and later for the City of Camden.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Society Hill Cemetery in the Shawnee Community near Camden with Rev Justin Nelson officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Michael Felts, Sam Felts, David Ray, Erik Small, Bill Sirmon and Earl Young.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Wilkerson, Terry Joe Pearson, Bryant Pearson and Johnny Davis.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to the Society Hill Cemetery Fund, 741 County Rd. 49 Camden, AL 36726
