James Davis Cassady, (87), died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Cassady, and a brother, Pete Cassady. Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Hedy; his son, Mike Cassady (Nancy); grandchildren James Davis Cassady II, Christen Cassady Carmen (Matt), Luke Cassady (Amy), and Katie Cassady; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Bryce Carmen; a brother, Henry Neal Cassady, and a sister, Nell Heartsill.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church on Friday, January 1, 2016, with visitation at 1:00 p.m. A private graveside service will follow.
Papa James taught us all the value of hard work and dedication to family. He will be greatly missed.
