Hutto, Ilene Gilbert, age 100, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Funeral services will be at 11:00 on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Deposit with Reverend Eric Jackson officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Greenville, AL directing. Interment will follow at Myrtlewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Hutto was preceded in death by her husband, James William (Buddy) Hutto in 1963. She is survived by her daughters: Betty Holladay of Birmingham, AL and Sara Alice Connor (Jack) of Houston, TX; grandchildren: Chuck Holladay, Scott Holladay(Heidi), Jeffrey Connor, Alison Connor, and Kim Porter-Glaser (Matt). Mrs. Hutto was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Peyton Porter, Allie Porter, Kendal Holladay, Dalton Holladay, and Kyle Connor.

Mrs. Hutto was born July 6, 1915 in Henry County, AL. She was the oldest of four children born to Andrew and Ruby Alice Gilbert. She and her late husband moved to Fort Deposit, AL in 1938 and Ilene spent over 65 years there. She loved the small town of Fort Deposit and valued the many that friends she made over the years. Ilene also treasured her memories and membership at Bethel Baptist Church for over half a century. She relocated to Birmingham, AL in 2005 to be closer to her family.
