MALONE, Sr., Herbert "Hub", 84, a resident of Greenville, AL died Monday, April 18, 2016 at L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Malone was the second child of Rufus and Velita Malone. "Hub", as he was affectionately known to everyone, was born March 28, 1932 and March 29, 1932 in the Springhill Community of Henry County, AL. He attended the Henry County Training School. Hub started working for Boan Contracting Company on July 1, 1962 and his devotion to the company continued until he was called home. Fond memories of him will be remembered by his wife of 52 years: Sylvia Malone; two children: son, Herbert (Liz) Malone, Jr., and daughter, LaBrena Malone (Tyrone) McFadden; grandchildren: Daigre and Ny'Nika McFadden, Jordan Malone, and Travis and Troy Staten; one brother: Tommie H. Malone; two sisters: Emma J. Martin and Mary J. (James Bennett) Clark; two sister-in-laws: Aleta Upshaw and Lottie Malone. There are many loving nieces, nephews, devoted friends and coworkers. Herbert was preceded in death by a nephew: Gregory Martin; sister: Gladys Stanford; niece: Donna Lofton and brother: James Malone.

The funeral service will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Greenville, AL with Pastor Michael Pouncey officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville, AL. A Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at St. John AME Church Cemetery in Abbeville, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
