Mr. Herbert F. Decker, Jr., a resident of Florida and former resident of Greenville, Alabama, passed away on October 8, 2022 at the age of 86.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. from Magnolia Cemetery with Dunklin Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home.

Herb was preceded in death by his father, Herbert F. Decker, Sr., his mother, Florence Black Decker and sister, Eugenia Decker Till.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret J. Decker; his son, William Herbert and his wife, Marlene along with daughter, Ava and sons, Jackson and Grayson.  He is also survived by his son, Stephen Keith and his wife, Lori.

Herb was a giving person to all around him.  He was a distinguished graduate of Greenville High School in 1955 before going on to serve in the Army for over 21 years which included a tour in Vietnam and rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel.  He enjoyed traveling and visited 6 continents and all 50 states.
