Hansel L. Stokes

Mr. Hansel L. Stokes, a resident of Fort Deposit, Alabama, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 89.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Brother John Ross Massey officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Hansel was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pearl Stokes; daughter, Debbie Stokes; grandson, Christopher Stokes Waller; his parents, Fred and Fannie Stokes.

He is survived by his children, Rex Stokes (Selina), and Diane Burkett (Terry); grandchildren, Laura House (Chris) and Wesley Burkett (Payton); great grandchild, Eli House, along with nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given in his memory to the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 142 Ashmore Road, Honoraville, Alabama 36042.
