IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glenda Sue
Heartsill Eakin
February 20, 1947 – August 6, 2022
Glenda Sue Heartsill Eakin, age 75, of Montgomery Alabama, formally of the Flatwoods Community passed away unexpectedly at Jackson Hospital on Saturday, August 6,2022.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Paul James and Mary Lucile Heartsill, her brother, Wilburn Sims (Louise), Cecil Heartsill (Bea), Henry Heartsill (Judy), Charlie Heartsill (Butch), sister, Bobbie Jean Loftin (Jack); and brother-in- law, Lloyd Williams and George Jones.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia H. Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as lifelong dear friend, Ann Hammonds.
Glenda was a devoted member of the Church of Christ where she participated in weekly Bible studies with Faulkner University programs and was present for viewing online weekly Bible Services on Wednesday and Sunday services.
Glenda always placed others needs ahead of her own. She sent out cards filled with thoughtful and heartfelt encouragement for birthdays or just to brighten one's day to everyone she knew. And if she was close enough or could get delivery setup to you there was a gift basket, hot meal or freshly baked cake ready and waiting to be enjoyed! She truly was a giving soul, never a taker.
The family will receive friends for viewing from 9am to 10am on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Dunklin Funeral Home Chapel followed by Graveside Memorial service at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery at 10:30am.
Pallbearers assisting are as follows: Wyman Heartsill (nephew), Freddy Loftin (nephew), Jimmy Loftin (nephew), Paul Alburl (nephew), Lynn Sims (nephew), Taylor Loftin (great-nephew) and Honorary Pallbearer: Travis Sims (great-nephew)
