Mr. George McCown Cook, Jr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Cook Hill Cemetery in Possum Bend, Alabama beginning at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Mr. John Creswell with Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George McCown Cook, Sr., and Nettie Newell Finklea.    He is survived by sons, George M. Cook, III of Camden, Alabama, Allen Finklea Cook of Prairieville, Louisiana, Houston Bradford Cook of Alabaster, Alabama, daughters, Carol Cruse Cook of Daphne, Alabama, Sherri Newell Cook (Matt) Bush of Camden, Alabama, one sister, Theresa Ann Cook Beightol of Roanoke, Alabama, along with eight grandchildren.
