Gary D. Schofield

Gary D. Schofield, a resident of Greenville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 77.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Street Church of Christ with Minister Charles Box officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 12:30 until service time.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Holland and Mauree Schofield; son, Christopher Schofield; brother, Curtis Schofield; and sister, Wanda Motz.

He is survived by his wife, April Schofield; son, Gary Schofield; daughters, Courtney Cates (Ben) and Tiffany Brown (David); grandchildren, Kayden Cates, Bryce Cates, Kyleigh Cates; sister, Glenda Johnson (Don); along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Gary loved being outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be truly missed.
