Gibson, Gale, age 58, a resident of Greenville, AL died on Monday, April 7, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10, 2014 with Rev. Eddie Adams and Rev. Gail Woodruff officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30 until 2:30.

Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her father, John Williard Matthews. She is survived by her husband, Gene Gibson, daughters; Shirley (Howard) Freeland of Sharpsburg, GA, Sandra (Jon) Medley of Greenville, AL, grandchildren; Alex Medley, Trey Freeland, Aden Freeland, Drew Freeland, Kristen Medley, mother, Virginia Matthews Gafford of Lowndesboro, AL, sisters; Jane (Morris) Wasden of Spanish Fort, AL, Sonya (Eddie) Adams of Albany, GA, brother, Johnny Matthews of Greenville, AL, sister-in-law, Carolyn Gibson of Peachtree City, GA, nephew, Stephen Matthews of Greenville, AL, nieces, Layla Matthews of Greenville, AL, Angela (Kenneth) Jones of Peachtree City, GA and special pet, J.J.

Pallbearers will be Alex Medley, Trey Freeland, Drew Freeland, Morris Wasden, Gary Gibson, and Stephen Matthews.
