Frank Merrett, a resident of Fort Deposit, Alabama, passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 80.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Fort Deposit, Alabama with Reverend Bruce Coker officiating.  The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Elsworth and Marjorie (Floyd) Merrett; brother, Leonard "Sonny" Merrett; grandson, James Edward Merrett; father and mother-in-law, John L. and Callie Mae (Sampley) Phelps; brothers-in-law, Frank Coker, Sr., Bill Peterson; nephew, Mike Merrett.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lena Mae (Phelps) Merrett; his sons, Jeffery Warren Merrett, Joseph Neil Merrett, James Wayne Merrett; daughters-in-law, Kaye (Owens) Merrett, Bethany (Trimm) Merrett, Katie (Bailey) Merrett; grandchildren, Taegan Cole (Sarah Nelson) Merrett, Haiston Conner Merrett, Saxon Collier Merrett, Logan Frank Merrett, Davis Alan Merrett, Andrew Thomas Merrett, Nathan Lee Merrett; sister, Peggy Jean (Merrett) Peterson; nephews, Don Coker, Frank Coker, Mark Merrett; niece, Cindy Coker; sister-in-law, Norma Lingenfelter; nieces-in-law, Sharon (Booker) Merrett, Claudia Merrett, along with many great nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
