Frances Wasden Harrison, 85, of Greenville, Alabama, passed away peacefully in the early evening of August 8, 2025. She was welcomed into God's loving arms by her family and friends who had gone before her in Christ.

Born on March 27, 1940, to Kenneth Eugene Stuart and Nellie Ore Stuart, Frances grew up in Butler County alongside her six siblings, sharing with them a deep and enduring bond.

Few may remember that Frances began her career as a talented hairstylist, operating a thriving beauty shop for many years. She and her sisters were well known for their joyful gatherings, often spent styling each other's hair. Later, she worked at Allied Signal, Inc., where she remained until her retirement.

A devoted wife, sister, and friend, Frances dedicated her life to her loved ones and to her church family at Antioch West Baptist Church. She found her greatest joy in gardening, canning, making preserves, and cooking for others—especially her beloved, much-requested pound cake, which she baked generously for anyone and everyone.

Frances was preceded in death by her two infant daughters; her parents, Eugene and Nellie Stuart; her siblings, Percy Stuart, Mary Green, and Truman Stuart; and her husbands, Eugene Wasden and Raymond Harrison.

She is survived by her siblings Peggy Butler, Barbara (Gordon) Richerson, and Kenny (Carol) Stuart; her stepsons Gary (Carol) Harrison and Jeff (Lauran) Harrison; numerous step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory—and her homemade biscuits.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the prayers, support, and outpouring of love from friends, family, and the community. Special appreciation is given to her caregivers—Dr. Hood, Ms. Arzell Johnson, and Ms. Debra Moorer—for their compassionate care and selfless dedication.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Dunklin Funeral Home in Greenville, Alabama, with Nathan Skipper officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Park with Dunklin Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
