Obituary

On February 11, 2024, the Lord called Frances Jeter Aven, a servant of His, to spend eternity with Him.  Frances came to know Jesus at an early age and lived to serve Him during her time on earth.  By faith she trusted in Christ alone as her Savior.  Frances used her God-given gifts of teaching God's Word in Sunday school to junior and senior students.  She also had the gift of hospitality and opened her home to others.  She shared her biblical knowledge in many bible studies.  She was truly a servant of the Lord.  Frances was a dedicated wife who knew her biblical role to complete and uphold her husband as head of the household.  She will truly be missed on earth, but we rejoice and give praise in that she now sees God face to face.  We give glory and praise to Him forever and ever.  AMEN and AMEN.

Frances leaves behind her husband, Ted of fifty-eight years; her sister-in-law, Peggy Rainer Jeter and a number of nieces and nephews.  Ted says, "THANK YOU FRANCES, IT'S BEEN QUITE A RIDE!!"

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Goynes and Rushie Baston Jeter.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero, TX.  Burial Service will be Thursday, March 14, 2024, 11:00 AM at New Brockton Cemetery in New Brockton, Alabama.

Pallbearers include Mike Trawick, Jermy Trawick, Will Fomby, Kevin Maddox, Scott Jeter, Cole Jeter, Ryan Odom and Jack McIntosh.
