Floyd Leon Anderson, 101, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Bountiful Hills Senior Living in Commerce, Georgia. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, in Magnolia Cemetery with Reverend Leon Stewart officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
He was a beloved father of six children, Myles Anderson (deceased), Newell (Faye) Anderson, Frieda (Bill) Stevens, Floyce (Jim) McBath, Aeriel (Mae) Anderson, Marcus Dewitt Anderson, and beloved grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
Born July 21, 1915, he was the son of the late Samuel Jonathan and Addie Beard Anderson. He was the husband of the late Olia Leona Burkett Anderson. Floyd was the last member of his birth family; he was the brother of the late Frank Anderson, Clyde Anderson, Charlie Anderson, Ziba Anderson, Irene Jones, Ora Harper, Eva Williamson, Mae Garner, and Florence Garner. He was a logger and timber contractor. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.
