Mrs. Florence Keeney Howell, 86, a resident of Greenville, AL died on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Jerome Chavarria officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, October 13th, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Keeney, husband, Asa James Howell Sr., and great-granddaughter, Hadley Aislyn Hartman. She is survived by her children; Leah Howell Salter of Greenville, AL, Asa James Howell, Jr. of Birmingham, AL, Suzanne Howell Hartman (David) of Greenville, AL, Jeannine Howell Pendergast (Pat) of Wetumpka, AL, Melynda Howell Keating (John) of Montgomery, AL, grandchildren; Shannon Salter Sliger (Tim) of Atlanta, GA, Jennifer Salter Holt (Dustin) of Auburn, AL, Joshua Hartman (Lauren) of Loxley, AL, Rachel Hartman of Spanish Fort, AL, Natalie Shae Brenizer (Robert) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Andrew Hartman (Kyle) of Atlanta, GA, Anne-Grace Hartman of Greenville, AL, Florence Erin Trotter of Wetumpka, AL, John Lane Keating, Jr. of New Orleans, LA, Michael Asa Keating of Montgomery, AL, and Kris Gabriel Keating of Montgomery, AL, nine great-grandchildren, brothers; Joe Keeney, Jr. of Decatur, AL, Herman Keeney (Blanche) of Montgomery, AL, Fred Keeney (June) of Decatur, AL, Frank Keeney (Lucy) of Tullahoma, TN and many nieces and nephews.
