On May 30th, 2023, Florence Ellen Holladay went to be with our Lord. Florence passed away at Baptist Hospital in Prattville, Alabama, after a short illness. Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel-Braggs Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her mother and infant brother, Brother Rohn Carleton officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

She was born August 27, 1942, to George Murray Holladay and Edna Earle "Little Sister " Holladay. Florence was named after her grandmother, Florence Ellen Strickland Hollingshead. Florence had recently made her home at a group home, Magnolia Woods, in Prattville. The only survivors of Florence is a host of cousins and friends. She was loved by many because of her infectious personality and sense of humor. Florence was also a long standing member at Frazier Global Methodist Church until she was no longer able to attend. She will be deeply missed.
