Faye McGraw McDonald, 82, a resident of Camden, was embraced by the arms of her Heavenly Father on October 18, 2016 with close family by her side. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Camden United Methodist Church with Reverend Brian Dovey officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Camden, AL directing. Burial will follow at Camden City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Henrietta McGraw, and siblings, Mamie Louise (Perry) Rogers, Frank Eugene McGraw, Willie Lee (Joella) McGraw, Doris McGraw (Grady)Davis, Ruby Lee McGraw (Oscar) Rogers, Henry Frank McGraw, Willie Erksine McGraw, and Jeannette McGraw (Rufus) Campbell. She is survived by her loyal husband of 61 years, Reginald McDonald, brother in-law, Richard (Danny) McDonald, and his wife, Gloria, two sister-in-laws Barbara Crutchfield McGraw and Ethel Dunnam McGraw, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. Pallbearers will be Ed Davis, Buford Gavin, Edgar McGraw, Paul McGraw, Bill Pate, Bryant Pearson, Jack Steele, and Luke Vick. Honorary pallbearers will be Peyton Burford, David Brown, Andrew Cunningham, Leo Hollinger, Shannon Hollinger, Frank McGraw, Ronald McGraw, and Clarence Mitchell.
Faye was a caring wife and a friend and neighbor to all. She was a devoted Christian and longtime member of the Camden United Methodist Church. Faye appreciated God's creation especially flowers, birds, and butterflies. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet, gentle disposition that won the trust and hearts of many people. Numerous lives were influenced by her witness of love and faith. Her strength and love of family will never be forgotten.
