Dr. Everett M. Snow passed away on September 2, 2013 at his home in the presence of his family. Everett was born March 16, 1941 in Mobile, Alabama to Everett and Lois Snow. He graduated from Murphy High School, The University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry.
Everett began his dental practice in Greenville, Alabama in 1971. He was very active in his church and community. Everett served as president of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, the Greenville chapter of the Red Cross, the Greenville Country Club and the Greenville Rotary Club where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He served as Vice Chairman of Fort Dale Academy for many years. He loved his alma mater and served as President of the Butler County Alumni Association, on the University of Alabama National Alumni Association board of directors, and the University of Alabama's President's Cabinet.
He was a faithful member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church for many years where he served on the vestry and as a lay reader since 1973.
Everett was married to Suzie Lindstrom Snow for 49 years. He was devoted to his family, his church, his patients and his community.
He is survived by his wife Suzie, his two children, Stephen Snow of Tuscaloosa and Jennifer Snow of Mobile, and his two grandchildren Pride Snow and Mary Fletcher Snow of Tuscaloosa.
Funeral services will be held on September 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Reid T. McCormick officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the parish hall. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 210 Church Street, Greenville, Alabama 36037. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Pall Bearers are Harry Dearing, William Hamilton, Julian Katz, Edward McFerrin, Jim McGowin, Steve McGowin, Cleve Poole, and MacDonald Russell.
Honorary pall bearers are Winford Boan, Bob Crosby, John Feathers, Sterling Hamilton, Marvin Hewlett, Ron McSpadden, Elisha Poole, Vernon Stabler, and Col. Bobby Vinson.
