Grayson, Emmie Lou Sexton, 83, a resident of Greenville, AL died on Sunday, August 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Scott Sexton officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening August 5th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home and on Wednesday one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Grayson is preceded in death by her parents, William Hollie and Exa Lucille Sexton, husband, James Theo Grayson, and son, William Van Grayson. She is survived by her children; Thomas Lamar Grayson (Helga) of Greenville, AL, James Britt Grayson of Georgiana, AL, Regina Grayson of Luverne, AL, grandchildren; Brandy Lynn Grayson Tiblier (Jimmy) of Montgomery, AL, James Thomas "Jim" Grayson of Georgiana, AL, great-granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Tiblier of Montgomery, AL, siblings; Orden Sexton of Grant, AL, Mickey Sexton of Forest Home, AL, Margaret Herring of Greenville, AL and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Grayson was a member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church since the age of 19 and an avid Sacred Harp singer. She worked in the textile industry in Greenville for over 40 years. She and James Theo Grayson were married for 52 years until his death in April of 2000. She loved her God, her church, and her family and will be missed by all.
