Zurga, Eloise Pharr, age 91, a resident of Liberty Hill, Texas died on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Reaves Chapel in Coy, Alabama at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 with Elder Barney McIntosh officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Camden, Alabama directing. Burial will follow in Reaves Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 13, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Camden, Alabama.

Mrs. Zurga was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Laura Finklea Pharr; husband, Roman Wallace Zurga; brothers and sisters, James Pharr, Claude Pharr, Leona Hicks, Clara Geck, Raymond Pharr, Alvin Holly, Neal Holly, Glenn Holly; sister in law, Nina Pharr; nephew, Richard Geck;, niece Shelby Geck Ellington; daughter in law, Pam Zurga Johnson. She is survived by three children, Roma Caroline Zurga-Schubert (Fritz Schubert), Edward Joseph Zurga (Debbie Zurga), Laura Zurga Williams (John Williams); grandchildren, Jennifer Leigh Benedict (Travis Benedict), Christopher Joseph Zurga (Crystal Zurga); great grandchildren, Bradley Reed, Brittinee Anne Martin, Kaitlynn McKay Zurga, and Caleb Joseph Zurga.

Mrs. Zurga was married in September 1947. She lived in Texas until 1980 when she moved back to Coy, Alabama until 2015. She lived with her daughter, Carol until her death November 8, 2018. She was a retired nurse from the Camden Nursing Facility. She was loved by all her family and friends, and she will be missed beyond words by all of us. She was our fearless leader and matriarch. She taught us all what true strength was. We will forever yell "Roll Tide" the way she would, and even though you are greatly missed, you will never be forgotten.
