Edmond Perry Heartsill, 96, passed away on March 5, 2020 in Meridian, MS. He was born on August 3, 1923 in Greenville, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Reverend Herbert Brown officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Heartsill served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946. He was a retired shipping foreman and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Greenville.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Willie Anthony Heartsill and Avie Heartsill.

He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Elizabeth Adams Heartsill; and sons, Steve Heartsill and wife Teri, and Keith Heartsill and wife Amy. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Josh Heartsill and wife Kelly, and Jennifer McMorris and husband Steven; and four great-grandchildren, Emily Heartsill, Bradley McMorris, Elizabeth McMorris, and Ella Heartsill.
