Dorothy Jean Mitchell, resident of Georgiana, AL passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the age of 85.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Zoma and Juliet English; and by her husband, Raif C. Mitchell.

She is survived by her brother, Winston O'Neal English (Sandra); nieces, Elizabeth Renae Fowler (Cort) and Sandra Joanne Gautney; great nephews, Winston Chandler Gautney and Cortez Earl Fowler III "Trey" and great niece, Abigail Elizabeth Fowler "Abby".

Dorothy was passionate about her family and loved them dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A private family graveside service was held at Magnolia Cemetery with Jason Simmons officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Liberty Baptist Church - mailing address 129 Shannon Hill Rd Greenville, Alabama 36037 or charity of choice.
