Gates, Dorothy B., 91, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at New Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, AL with Rev. James Greene officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home Directing. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to services at the graveside.
Mrs. Gates was preceded in death by her husband, William Golson Gates, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Diane G. Sutherland, sons: Robert B. (Bettie Joe) Gates, William G. (Linda W.) Gates, Jr., grandchildren: Donna G. (Lance) Ledbetter, Jennifer Harbison, Alison Gates (Chad) Fournier, Jason (Lisa) Sutherland, Justin William Gates, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren: Jordan (Lee) Fountain, Jesse Gates, Darrian Fournier, Savannah Fournier, Kaya Peacock, Ashlee Harbison, Chase Harbison, Caleb Sutherland, Emma Sutherland, Ryan Yarbrough, Laken Phillips, Ilaina Peacock, Lydea Peacock, Sean White, Braxyn Knight, Justin Peacock, Cotton Yarbrough, Gates Ledbetter, Nolan Ledbetter, Corbin Ledbetter, Viola Fournier, Kerrigan Fountain, sister: Dovie Wells, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Gates' great grandsons.
