Doris Gafford Pierce, age 86, a resident of Honoraville, AL, died on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Minister Jerry Barlow and Minister Dennis Sanders officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the County Line Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Rosa Gafford, husband Gus Pierce, brothers, Monroe Gafford, David Earl Gafford and Billy Joe Gafford, sister Rowena Henneman. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Bettye K. Gafford; nieces, Nelda Moseley, Debbie Green, Sheila Lear, Jonna Crum, Clairette Littlejohn and Stephanie Boswell; nephews, Tommy Gafford and Herman Earl Pierce, several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Herman Earl Pierce, James Lewis Peterson, Mike Green, Tim Gafford, Charles Lear & Jeremy Moseley. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Moseley and Jack Pollard.
