Champion, Doris Marie Averette, 61, died Thursday, February 25, 2016. A graveside service will be Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Kelley Cemetery in Pine Hill, AL., with Reverend Rex Jackson officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Camden, AL directing.
Mrs. Champion was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly Dawn Quigley and father, Irby Averette. She is survived by her husband: Russell Champion of Camden, AL; daughter: Angela Michelle Averette of Camden, AL; mother: Ruby Averette of Marion, AL; step-daughter: Jolene Atkins of Gadsden, AL; step-sons: Jason Champion of Franklin, LA and Dale Champion of Demopolis, AL; grandchildren: Abby Champion and William Chelcie Dewayne Averette; sisters: Marlene Quigley (Victor), Theresa Runnels (Scot), Christine Chappelle (Michael), Sherry Bennett (Gary) and Jeannie Averette; brothers: Robert Averette (Loretta) and Michael Averette (Angelia); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
