Mr. Donnie Earl Smith, age 67 of Cairo, Georgia died on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Dunklin Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Phillip Kirkland and Reverend Steven Wallace officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow service at Letohatchee Cemetery. Mr. Smith was born and raised in Butler County.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Smith and his niece, Kayla Owens. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Smith; children, Stacey Ballard (Jim), Tracey Baker (Alex) and Laurie Barfield (Brad); grandchildren, Taylor Ballard (Courtney), Alexandria Martin Johnson (Matthew), Tanner Barfield, Zachary Baker, McKenzie Barfield and Wyatt Baker; great-grandchildren, Harper Ballard and Ellie Ballard; mother, Lucille Smith; sister, Sheila Mims (Bubba); brother, Michael Smith (Tammy) as well as step-children, step grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
