Scruggs, Debra Jean, 59, a resident of Greenville, AL passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Brother Rick Ousley officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Ms. Scruggs was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Teresa Boutwell and her sister, Emmie Lynch.

She is survived by her children Jennifer (Archie) Owens of Valley Grande, AL, Larry William (Katelyn) Scruggs of Mobile, AL, and Cindy Scruggs (Will Moorer), Auburn, AL.   Two grandchildren Chloe and Braylen Owens.  Fiancé Curtis Sipper.  Sisters Mary Whittle and Stella Cobb.  Brothers Mickey Boutwell and David Boutwell.  Number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Ms. Scruggs was employed by the Butler County Board of Education as school bus driver.  She drove bus 14-59.  She loved working in the schools and interacting with kids.  She was also employed by Sister Schubert as a line operator.

Ms. Scruggs was known for her caring and giving spirit.  She was strong willed and dedicated to her work and children, always going above and beyond.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
