Deborah Blackmon Thomas, 74, of Greenville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Brother Randy Harvill officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow in Brushey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Deborah was born on February 27, 1951, to Hinson and Lillian Blackmon.  She was the oldest of 5 children.

Deborah was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles E. Thomas, Sr.

She is survived by sons, Charles E. Thomas, Jr. and Jason Thomas; brothers, Lorne (Kim) Blackmon and Van (Katie) Blackmon; sisters, Rheta Davis and Lori Brogden; two grandchildren, Braxton Thomas and Ava White; many nieces, nephews, and non-blood related children she claimed as her own.

Deborah had a servant's heart.  She became a beautician at a young age and worked at Louise's Beauty Shop for 30 plus years.  If she wasn't serving others with haircuts and hair styles, she was serving food to anyone with an appetite.  She volunteered alongside both her husband and son for many years in the Butler County Sheriff's Posse.  Later to serve the Central Community through the Volunteer Fire Department.  Her personality and warm heart made her someone that anyone could talk to and feel at home.  Her home was always open, and she loved big.  Her presence here will leave a void to so many, but her legacy will live on through the love she shared.
