David A. Long, age 67, a resident of Los Fresnos, TX and a former resident of Greenville, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 after a long illness. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Mildred Long of Washburn, TN.
He is survived by his wife Nellie Long of Los Fresnos, TX, children, David Todd Long, Tawana (Chris) Hollyhand, Brett Long all of Greenville, and Juan Villaneuva of Los Fresnos, TX, grandchildren, Derrick Tad Long, Santana Renae Long, Alyce Drae Mckenzie all of Greenville, one brother, Darrell (Kaye) Long, two nieces, Darlene (Curtis) Manus & Lyndee (Jamie) Baker all of Smyrna, TN.
David was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State and was employed with Allied Signal, Inc. / Bendix Safety Restraints for over 30 years until retiring with the company.
