Mr. Comer Blackmon, 90, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his residence. A visitation will be on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with that service at 11:00 a.m. all taking place at Southside Baptist Church. The burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family request donations be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, Greenville, AL. He is survived by his loving wife Velma Smith Blackmon; sons Mike Blackmon (Debbie) and Larry Blackmon (Martha Matthews); daughter Barbara Conley (Nenion); grandchildren Allen Blackmon (Veronica), Brian Blackmon (Amy)and Alison Edwards (Jason); great grandchildren Alexis Blackmon, Madison Edwards, Jackson Edwards, Grayson Edwards and Mitch Blackmon; and many special neices and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Larry Blackmon, Allen Blackmon, Brian Blackmon, Nenion Conley, David Jackson, and Jason Edwards. The honorary pallbears will be all the Deacons of Southside Baptist Church.
