Griffith Jr., Byron Sloan, 85, a resident of Greenville, AL, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011. Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, with The Reverend Reid T. McCormick officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 3rd from 5 to 7 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Joseph Watts, 10 Pineleaf Lane, Greenville, AL.
Mr. Griffith is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Stabler Griffith of Greenville, AL. He is survived by sons: Joseph Kimberlin Griffith II of Dallas, TX, Andrew Clyde Griffith (Mary) of Birmingham AL, daughters; Laura Griffith Watts (Joseph) of Greenville, AL, Ann Griffith Walton (Charles) of Dallas, TX, Lucile Griffith Waller of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Michael Griffith, Byron Griffith, Joseph Griffith, Caroline Griffith, Andrew Griffith, Edward Griffith, Sloan Griffith, Claire Griffith, Marshall Watts (Kala), Frances Watts, Davis Watts, Katherine Walton, Charles Walton, Christopher Waller (Jacqueline), Lucile Waller Rey (Robert), Griffith Waller.
