SAF Ret. CMS Billy R. Vickery served 37 years in the Air Force. He was born on September 11, 1934 and was 76 years old, Mr. Vickery died at his residence on Saturday morning, January 29, 2011. There will be a visitation Monday, January 31, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Bethel Baptist Church, Ft. Deposit, AL, the funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., with Ministers Andy Hepburn and Eric Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Myrtlewood Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Vickery was preceded in death by his parents Ethel Gregory Vickery and Leander Fuller Vickery. Sisters Inez V. Hepburn, Margorie V. Liner, Mavis V. Whigham and brother George L Vickery. Survivors include his wife Joy Sullivan Vickery, daughters Ann V. Russell (Allen), Susan V. Sexton (Gerald), and son Lee Vickery (Kim) all of Ft. Deposit, AL. Grandchildren Renee Lee, Jason Greene (Audrey), Bryan Lee (Laura), Adam Vickery, Alexandra Vickery, Austin Vickery and sister, Betty V. Lambert (Burton) of Clarksville, TN. Great grandchildren Owen Lee and Anders Lee and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive flowers at the church or you can make donations to the Bethel Baptist Church Youth Group.
