Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Laura Oswald, as well as her brothers, Charles and Wayne Oswald.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, William “Bubba” Love of Greenville, Alabama; her children, Jeff Bush (Lisa) of McKenzie, Alabama, and William Love, Jr. (Courtney) of Holiday, Florida; her four grandchildren, Joshua Senn (Chelsea) of Jemison, Alabama; Jessica Sargent (Tucker) of Macon, Georgia; Barrett Bush (Magen) of Andalusia, Alabama; and Kelci Wray Love of Holiday, Florida; her five great-grandchildren, Haylee Senn, Tristan Sargent, Channing Bush, Beckham Bush, and Turner Sargent; and her three nieces and nephews, Kenneth W. Oswald, Jr. of Montevallo, Alabama; Kimberly Oswald of Birmingham, Alabama; and Magan Holt of Bushnell, Florida.
She was born and raised in Greenville, Alabama, where she owned and operated several businesses, including The Fishnet, B&B Amoco, Liberty Country Store, and Betty’s Fireworks at the Chatterbox. She loved her customers and truly enjoyed getting to know members of the community.
Her last adventure, Betty’s Fireworks, was a longtime dream. She and her husband, Bubba, spent many wedding anniversaries on New Year’s Eve and Independence Day ensuring that the greater Greenville community could enjoy a good fireworks show from their own backyards.
Beyond her many accomplishments, Betty's greatest joy was her family. She cherished making memories on family trips to Dollywood and Disney World, where her excitement and laughter were just as memorable as the destinations themselves. She loved with her whole heart and made sure everyone around her knew they were loved.
Betty's home was a place where no one ever left hungry. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite times to gather the family around the table, and she never did anything halfway. Her holiday feasts were legendary, always prepared with love and in abundance, with enough food to feed an army. She was especially known for her delicious homemade cakes, which became a treasured tradition for those fortunate enough to enjoy them. Her generosity, warm hospitality, and unwavering love for her family will remain some of the greatest gifts she leaves behind.
She loved fiercely and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
