Butler, Bessie Raye, age 86, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Sunday, October 28, 2012. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at First Baptist Church Greenville, AL with Dr. Tim Patton and Dr. Paul McLendon officiating. Mrs. Butler will lie in state from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Shackleville Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Butler is preceded in death by her parents, W. Jack & Lizzie Saucer Bodiford, husband of 67 years, Cavit Butler, 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Flowers and Charlotte Blasingame (David) of Greenville, AL; two sons, Roy Anthony "Tony" Butler (Debi) of Clinton, SC; Clarence Cavit "Charlie" Butler, II of Crowley, LA; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great- grandchildren, eight great- great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
