Lomax 'Maxie' Gibson, age 91 of Conyers, formerly of Greenville, AL, died Saturday, April 16, 2016. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertha Johnson She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Robin Gibson, Conyers, Steve and Lucinda Gibson, Orlando, FL; daughter, Vickie Stokes, Smyrna; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Prospect United Methodist Church, Conyers, GA, with Rev. Ronny Brannen and Rev. Lawrence Lockett officiating; interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Greenville, AL, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. CST. The family will receive friends Monday, April 18, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Scot Ward Funeral Home.
