Newton, Mrs. Arthurine Thompson, age 91, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, Greenville, AL, with Rev. Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home from 1:00 till 2:30 p.m.
Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Estelle Thompson; her husband, J. V. Newton; her sons, Jimmy Newton, and Tom Newton. She is survived by two sons, Charles Newton (Jan) of Greenville, AL, Bill Newton (Evelyn) of Montgomery, AL; sister, Mary T. Davis of Fort Deposit, AL, and a brother, Henry G. Thompson (Edwina) of Tylertown, MS; daughter-in-law, Joanne Newton of Greenville, AL; eight grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
