Anne Herbert Feathers, age 88, of Greenville, Alabama, died peacefully in her sleep on December 20, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Feathers. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Curtis Herbert IV and Mary Lou Herbert; her nephew Curtis Herbert V and niece Sarah Herbert; and the children of her nephew.

Anne was born in 1937 to Curtis Burke Herbert III and Sarah Frances Smith Herbert in Montgomery, Alabama. Anne graduated from Auburn University and was a member of Sigma Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta.

Anne was an active member of her community, of her church, and numerous historical and preservation organizations, including her service as President of the Alabama Historical Association and President of the Pioneer Cemetery Preservation Association.

She delighted in giving visitors a tour of her home, which she and her husband John had purchased and restored in 1999. It is recognized as historic by the National Register of Historic Places.

A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Greenville on January 14, 2026, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 am until time of services.
