Alice L. "Suzie" Snow, age 82, of Greenville, Alabama, passed away on May 7, 2024, at her home in the company of her family and friends. Suzie was born on January 15, 1942, in Mobile, Alabama to Hilding and Kathleen Lindstrom. She graduated from Murphy High School and the University of Alabama, where she was a Corolla beauty and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
Suzie began her teaching career in Bessemer, Alabama, supporting her husband, Everett, as he finished dental school. After moving to Greenville in 1969, Suzie joined the faculty of Fort Dale Academy where she served for over twenty-five years as an English teacher, guidance counselor and Senior Sponsor. She loved all types of flowering plants and spent many hours tending to her garden and yard. She shared her years of experience with others as an active member of the Sasanqua Garden Club.
Suzie was a faithful member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church since 1973, where she was active in Women of the Church for many years.
She was also a member of the scholarship committees for both the Butler County Farmer's Federation and for the University of Alabama National Alumni Association's Butler County Chapter, serving as chairperson on many occasions.
Suzie was married to her late husband, Dr. Everett Snow, for 49 years. She is survived by her two children, Stephen Snow (Melissa) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Jennifer Snow of Mobile, Alabama, and her two grandchildren, Pride Snow (Kathleen) and Mary Fletcher Snow, of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on May 13, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Linda Suzanne Borgen officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the parish hall. Graveside services for family and close friends will be held at noon on May 14, 2024, at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 210 Church Street, Greenville, Alabama 36037. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
