Petty, Alberta D. 87, of Highland Home passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2013. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Crossview Baptist Church on Sweetwater Road in Highland Home with Rev. Jack Zimmer officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Panola Cemetery. Mrs. Petty will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Petty is preceded in death by her husbands, Bradley Bowen and R.J. Petty; mother, Lillie Mae Self; brothers, Marcus Donaldson, James Edward Self, and Willie Raymond Holmes; sisters, Clarice Donaldson, Mary Mosley, and Irene Mora.
Mrs. Petty is survived by her daughter Koren Cartwright (Clarence) of Foley, AL; grandchildren, Julie Ann Frazier Taylor (Jessie Sanders) of Highland Home, AL, William Earl Frazier (Christina Pittman) of Perdido, AL and Stephanie Leigh Frazier Owens (Kenny Wayne) of Rutledge, AL; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister Verna Mae Palmar (Andrew) of Panola, AL and many nieces and nephews.
